Salted Oatmeal Crunch Chocolate Bar

Ingredients

for 1 bar

  • ½ cup semi sweet chocolate chips (85 g)
  • ⅛ cup oats (30 g), steel cut
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • ½ tablespoon salted butter

Preparation

  1. Melt the chocolate chips in a double boiler.
  2. Spread half of the melted chips on parchment paper.
  3. Place the oats over medium high heat with sugar, cinnamon, butter and 1 tsp salt. Let the mixture cook, stirring constantly until the oats are crunchy.
  4. Let the oats cool for 3 minutes. Then place the oats evenly on top of the melted chocolate and coat with the remaining chocolate.
  5. Top with the remaining salt and place in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from the fridge, cut and enjoy!
