Ingredients

for 1 serving

  • 1 large banana
  • 2 medjool dates, pitted
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 cup fresh baby spinach
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • ¾ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon MCT oil
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 1 teaspoon bee pollen
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons spirulina powder, divided
  • ¼ cup unsweetened coconut yogurt

Preparation

  1. Place the banana, dates, protein powder, spinach, ice, almond milk, MCT oil, almond butter, bee pollen, and 1 teaspoon of the spirulina powder in a high-speed blender. Blend until completely smooth and creamy, 30–60 seconds, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed.
  2. Place the coconut yogurt in the bottom of a 16-ounce glass, and swirl it around the inside for a marbled effect. Lightly sift the remaining ¼ teaspoon spirulina powder around the insides of the glass to coat the yogurt.
  3. Pour the smoothie into the prepared glass. Serve immediately while cold and creamy.
