Cheesy Broccoli And Pasta

Ingredients

for 4 servings

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons onion, minced
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream (340 g)
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese (280 g)
  • 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese (150 g)
  • salt, to taste
  • 5 cups broccoli (500 g), cooked and chopped
  • 1 ¼ cups pasta (240 g), cooked

Preparation

  1. Prepare the roux by adding the butter, flour, garlic and onion to a saucepan and mixing on low heat until thick.
  2. Gradually add the cream to the roux and stir until it is a thick consistency.
  3. Add the cheeses and salt to your liking.
  4. Continue to mix the sauce until the cheese is melted and smooth.
  5. Add the cheese sauce to your broccoli and pasta and mix until everything is coated in the sauce. (Leftover sauce can be kept in a jar in the refrigerator for 1 week)
  6. Serve warm.
