People Are Sharing The Meals They Make In Their Slow Cookers That Save Tons Of Time (And Actually Taste Incredible)

My Crock-Pot and I are about to be REALLY busy.

Lately, my Crock-Pot obsession has inspired me to broaden my cooking horizons. In a quest to find new meal ideas, I scoured the depths of Reddit and asked Tasty readers to weigh in with their favorite slow cooker recipes. Here are the best (and easiest!) meals to make this winter:

1. "Apple butter — just apples, brown sugar, white sugar, and cinnamon."

Sliced apples in a slow cooker with cinnamon and spices, partially cooked in a sweet sauce

2. "Bone-in pork chops with carrots, potatoes, and peas cooked in cream of mushroom soup."

3. "Japanese curry."

A plate of rice with thick curry, featuring pieces of meat and vegetables in a creamy sauce, served on a floral-patterned dish

4. "Creamy chicken wild rice soup."

"Make it with chicken thighs, a little less wild rice, and more veggies (sometimes adding mushrooms). I don't usually use a roux, and I use less water and more heavy cream."

5. "My pot roast."

A hearty beef stew with carrots and potatoes in a red pot, showcasing a rich and savory dish perfect for cozy meals

6. "Smoked sausage and potato chowder."

Bowls of creamy soup topped with crumbled cheese and fresh herbs, placed on a striped cloth, accompanied by two spoons

7. "Not really a recipe, but putting chicken breasts in the slow cooker with a jar of salsa verde makes nice shredded meat for tacos."

8. "My family is obsessed with Mississippi pot roast."

A plate of pulled beef roast topped with pepperoncini and garnished with parsley

9. "Chicken curry."

Bowl of creamy curry with chunks of chicken, garnished with chopped herbs, on a white napkin

10. "Lasagna."

Lasagna served with tomato sauce and herbs, accompanied by garlic bread and a fresh salad with cucumbers and tomatoes

11. "Queso."

Tortilla chips surround a bowl of cheese dip topped with diced tomatoes and herbs on a wooden board

12. "Thai oxtail soup."

A bowl of soup with meat and herbs, accompanied by various herbs and chili peppers, next to a small bowl of dipping sauce

13. "Korean beef-inspired stew."

"Make any stew and add a bottle of Korean BBQ sauce and some hoisin as the stock. Shred some carrot, cabbage, daikon radish, and pickle in mirin or vinegar. Make (or buy) some bao buns. Fill and enjoy."

14. "Chili."

Bowl of chili with toppings, surrounded by bread and seasoning dishes on a wooden table

15. "Sweet and sour meatballs! My family loves this even after decades of me making it!"

16. "Slow cooker coq au vin!"

A bowl of stew with carrots, meat, and mashed potatoes on a checkered tablecloth, accompanied by a side dish in a small bowl

17. And, last, but certainly not least: "Tasty’s Mongolian Beef recipe is a staple in my house. Not only is it delicious straight from the slow cooker, but it makes amazing leftovers that we always fight over."
