People Are Sharing The Meals They Make In Their Slow Cookers That Save Tons Of Time (And Actually Taste Incredible)
My Crock-Pot and I are about to be REALLY busy.
Lately, my Crock-Pot obsession has inspired me to broaden my cooking horizons. In a quest to find new meal ideas, I scoured the depths of Reddit and asked Tasty readers to weigh in with their favorite slow cooker recipes. Here are the best (and easiest!) meals to make this winter:
1. "Apple butter — just apples, brown sugar, white sugar, and cinnamon."
2. "Bone-in pork chops with carrots, potatoes, and peas cooked in cream of mushroom soup."
3. "Japanese curry."
4. "Creamy chicken wild rice soup."
"Make it with chicken thighs, a little less wild rice, and more veggies (sometimes adding mushrooms). I don't usually use a roux, and I use less water and more heavy cream."
5. "My pot roast."
6. "Smoked sausage and potato chowder."
7. "Not really a recipe, but putting chicken breasts in the slow cooker with a jar of salsa verde makes nice shredded meat for tacos."
8. "My family is obsessed with Mississippi pot roast."
9. "Chicken curry."
10. "Lasagna."
11. "Queso."
12. "Thai oxtail soup."
13. "Korean beef-inspired stew."
"Make any stew and add a bottle of Korean BBQ sauce and some hoisin as the stock. Shred some carrot, cabbage, daikon radish, and pickle in mirin or vinegar. Make (or buy) some bao buns. Fill and enjoy."
14. "Chili."
15. "Sweet and sour meatballs! My family loves this even after decades of me making it!"

16. "Slow cooker coq au vin!"
17. And, last, but certainly not least: "Tasty’s Mongolian Beef recipe is a staple in my house. Not only is it delicious straight from the slow cooker, but it makes amazing leftovers that we always fight over."
